The Q logo was created sometime around the turn of the 21st century to represent all things Quorlan. There is a description of it's fictional meaning and significance at the following entry: Q Symbol

The current incarnation of the Q Logo/Symbol looks like this: q_logo_nobackground2.png

The symbol itself is derived from two rings the character of Quorlan has worn throughout many of his incarnations. The outer ring is made of titanium with a brushed metallic finish. The secondary band atop the main ring is also made of titanium with the same brushed finish and used as a unique mount for the amethyst stone shaped into a perfect sphere.

The inner ring is actually two rings, with one embedded within the other. The line through the bottom was added to form the letter Q in the center of the design. This ring is made in three layers, two outer satin finish titanium bands contain a third, inner black titanium band. The dip in the outer rings allows a portion of the inner ring to be seen from the side-view of the ring.

The combination of the two rings in such a fashion forms the logo which now represents Quorlan in all incarnations and media outlets including online, in print, in video and on a variety of retail items such as shirts, clocks, notebooks, and even underwear! You can check out all of the Q-branded items available for purchase in the Q-Gear online store.

In a show of support and dedication for his creation, Quorlan's creator recently had the Quorlan logo/symbol tattooed on his own, real-life back. This photo was taken only 2 hours after the tattoo was applied.

It took some time to arrive at the final version of the logo as it is used and tattooed today. Some of the earlier versions of it looked like these:

The various parts of the logo each have a particular meaning and type of power they are meant to evoke and channel in the fictional world of Quorlan. A breakdown of the parts and what they represent follows:
