PROMT
From Qwiki

Perdhro Raidho Othala Mannaz Teiwaz are the runes used in a completely unique and undocumented spell created by the evil arch-mage, Drathan. When discussed by the very few wizards who are even aware of the spell it is always referred to simply as PROMT (a translation of the runic symbols into their English counterparts which creates the acronym typically pronounced like the word prompt.
PROMT is a spell Drathan created specifically in order to travel between dimensions of the multiverse. The spell calls for not only these five specific runes, but also requires the participation of the one being in all of Moridia who has an exact counter-part on the fictional Earth in the Quorlan multiverse. This being on Moridia is the young Princess Willow, daughter to the King and Queen of the largest Kingdom in Moridia. On the fictional Earth of Quorlan's multiverse, a young girl named Willow Kindle is the daughter of Jacob Kindle, an author who is responsible for inadvertently creating the world of Moridia by writing about it. Jacob is unaware that a ring given to him by his wife, Laura Kindle is actually the powerful artifact known as Specter, which bonds with it's wearer and creates, in an alternate dimension, whatever worlds, people, and objects the wearer can imagine and commit to paper. It also allows Quorlan himself to possess the wearer of his ring. In effect, the ring allows the owner to create alternate realities which take on a life of their own as well as allowing Quorlan to travel between worlds by inhabiting the bodies of whomever may find and wear his ring. Jacob Kindle, however, has no idea that the ring is granting him this power. It isn't until his own daughter, Willow vanishes before his eyes that he realizes something is very wrong.
NOTE: These events take place in the first book of a yet un-named series of novels based on some of Quorlan's adventures in the multiverse.
